We are in the turning block of this webinar, so let's have a look at what's new in the area of parting and grooving,and more specifically CoroCut too. And for that reason, I have the pleasure to welcome Jenny and Fredrik with me in the studio. Hi Jenny, hi Fredrik. Hi Isabella. So Jenny, what are we introducing this CoroPack? Yes, in this CoroPack we have a completely new geometry, the RF geometry. It's developed for finishing in the profiling applications. We also have two well-known geometries from CoroCut 1.2. It's the GM and the TM. We also implement the new grade 1205. We have it for general turning and now we implement it in the CoroCut 2 offer. And also we have the last tool holders. So now we have a complete full assortment of 1425 standard tool holders. So quite massive. We also have the quick change holder system, the QS Micro, which is new for this CoroPack. And also a tailor-made offer available for parting and grooving on the web for our customers to customize the tools. A quick repetition of the CoroCut 2 features. We have the rail interface, even on the small sizes. We have the unique flashlight technology. And we have the high-performing grades and the reliable tool holders. Over to you Fredrik. Thank you Jenny. Yes, as Jenny said, we will introduce three geometries. And two of them are well-known from CoroCut 1.2. The GM and the TM. But there are upgrades when it comes to the grades. We have new grades. We also have the rail on the smaller seat sizes. And we have the flashlight technology. So we will have a better edgeline quality on these inserts. But most exciting when it comes to this introduction, and I would say the complete CoroCut 2 introduction, is the RF geometry. Which is a new finishing geometry for profiling operations. It is a direct pressed insert with flashlight technology. Where we have developed against the ISOs material and the aerospace industry. And this one is validated according to their standard when it comes to surface integrity. And the reason why we are introducing this product right now, is because of this new technique. Where we can make a very sharp edge. And with a direct pressed insert. And this means that we can place our geometry very close to the cutting edge. And we can have chip control at very low cutting data. That you use during finishing operations. If we look at our profiling geometries. We have RO, RM and RF. RO we have in CoroCut 1.2. Will be introduced in CoroCut 2.2 later. Finishing cut, 0.25 in cutting depth and feed. So, let's have a look. And if we look at RF here in the bottom. We have very good chip control. During the complete profile. Where RM and RO struggles with the chip control. You can see. This material we are using here is an ISOP material. But this works also very good in ISO-M and ISO-S materials. But it's easier to see without coolant, of course. So, this is ISOP. And to summarize. RF is to be used for finishing cuts. Low feeds and small depth of cuts. Main workpiece materials to target are rote nickel-based ACRSA materials. Like in Connell and Vaspaloy. But it works also fine in ISO-P and ISO-M. And with that, I hand over to you, Jenny. So, the unique selling points for CoroCut 2. We have a very flexible offer. With grades, geometries and tools. And also the quality of our inserts. Which will give the customer the process security and the efficient machining. And specific for the new geometry RF. We should target the customers that struggle with chip control in the finishing application. And we put the focus in HRSA. But as Fredrik mentioned, it also works very good in both ISO-P and ISO-M. And utilize our unique selling points with the combination of the sharp edge and the chip control. And also utilize the increased speed capabilities of the new grades 1205 and also S205. And you have a high market potential both in aerospace and medical. And here we see the growth trend. So, that's the way to focus. Thank you, Jenny and Fredrik. So, let's hear about a CoroCut 2 success case. And for that reason, we are connecting to Sumik in India. Thank you, Isabella. And good day to all. I am going to present you a success case on CoroCut 2 from India. So, I will start with the background. This customer have recently invested in greenfield project. Mostly for the component from oil and gas segment. We have very good relation in their older plant. That is a point of leverage in this plant as well. They have recruited new project team. Which have a good experience of machining this kind of components in mostly other companies. Most of the machine is from Doosan. The activity what we did is on Doosan Puma GT3100L. The components are mostly barrel and stack. The existing scenario in this high overhang ID grooving application. They are using 3mm ID grooving insert with dia 60mm damped bar. They are using plunge grooving for roughing and for finishing groove turning strategy. But they are facing vibration in rough grooving. As a result, they are reducing the feed rate drastically. And which is leading to the productivity loss for them. To solve this issue, we have approached from the beginning with the holding system. We have replaced the standard boring block with a split type boring block. We have decided to use KoroCut 2 with 2mm insert in place of 3mm to avoid vibration. We have used Mastercam to prepare the tool path what we are looking for. And we have introduced our groove turning strategy in place of plunge turning in the roughing application. If you see the rough grooving in this animation, we have used our groove turning strategy. And for finishing also, whatever we suggest the finishing strategy. First plunging and then finishing the walls and then the ID. As a result, we got benefit of using high parameter. In roughing, we have used 200 cutting speed with 0.4 to 0.5 mm feed rate per rev with groove turning strategy. And also for finishing, we have used similar feed rates of 0.4 per mm rev. Which in a result, have helped us to reduce their cutting time from 40 minutes to 12 minutes. And which has given them a tremendous productivity gain of 333%. And when we talk about quality, there is absolutely no vibration or chattering on the component. That's all from my side. Now back to studios. Fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing. And we are staying in the area of turning and looking at a new offer from Hard Prime Turning. And for that reason, we are connecting to Sasha in Germany. Thank you, Isabella. Now I will present you the new Curatorn TR Hard Prime Turning solution. You asked for it. We deliver it. We have revolutionized hard part turning with combining of two of our already successfully proven technology. Curatorn TR and our Prime Turning methodology. The Prime Turning methodology allows us to work multi-directional due to the low entering angle. It is capable of running with higher feed rates. And we transfer these characteristics to our Curatorn TR platform and create a completely new technology, which is capable of running with higher feed rates while keeping excellent surface quality. Insert stability in both directions is secured with the locking interface iLock from Curatorn TR. As already mentioned, Curatorn TR Hard Prime Turning is capable of keeping high surface quality and good measuring values while using high feed rates. In this calculation, it is beating every other available concept on the market, well-proofed through lab tests and customer tests. Because we are using a D-style insert and the Viper Edge on the backside, this characteristic allows us to have more accessibility as the Excel insert, but also working with higher feed rates as a standard or Viper insert. And this is our new released assortment. We start with having Curatorn and Capture holders in three different coupling sizes in both left and right-handed. Only these two holders are capable of using our new Curatorn TR Hard Prime Turning inserts. Our insert assortment is covering different radius from 0.4 to 0.8 and also the grades from 71.15 to 71.25. Shank holders are available as tailor-made option. To briefly summarize our new product, I will show you a short success case. In this case, we increase both tool life and productivity in comparison to the competitor's solution. Here is a short summary of what we learned. Curatorn TR Hard Prime Turning is the solution which increases productivity, keeping high surface quality and tool life at the same time. And as already mentioned, the customer is asking for it. We deliver it. Now back to you, Isabella. Thanks a lot, Sasha. Let's move on to our grades GC 1205 and GC 1210. We have introduced them in the last Coropax, so they have been out on the market for a while. And of course, we are excited to hear how they are performing. For this reason, Iranzu has joined us in the studio. Welcome. Thank you very much, Isabella. Sales ramp up for these products after introduction was somehow slow. Mainly due to these products targeting aerospace industry segment, where we know that it is a bit more difficult sometimes to introduce new products, taking longer time for changes. However, we have a lot of opportunities identified with very high potential. So this is great to hear. How to boost your sales. Continue to attack on aerospace industry segment, but also on medical pump and valve and general engineering, where excellent success cases have been reported as well. When it comes to workpiece materials, nickel based alloys are our primary target, but also very good results observed in chromium cobalt alloys, in super duplex and in austenitic stainless steel, expanding a little bit the application area for these grades. I would also like to mention that in June, two new round inserts have been introduced, complementing the assortment for 1205. Thank you. Any final message that you would like to share with our audience? I would actually like to reinforce the application for these two grades. So we have 1205 targeting finishing operations, mostly high speed capabilities and very good possibilities to increase tool life. Whereas 1210 is mostly targeting intermediate state machining operations, offering excellent security in our cutting operations. Thank you so much for joining us in the studio today, Iransu. Thank you. Let's move on to machine integration and silent tools turning adapters. And for that reason, Åke has joined us in the studio. Welcome. Thank you so much, Isabella. So Åke, tell me, what are you bringing this time? Thank you. Yeah, this is the second launch of the silent tools dampening adapters. The assortment consists of sizes 16, 20 and 25 millimeter and also in inch, of course. Those variants are in cylindrical and capto, which is the first time we have the capto now in the new variants. Those are also the high runners for us. And therefore, we pay quite a bit of attention also from the production unit to have the stock build up in really, really good shape. The functionality is really a superior performance for us. And that is out of the new machine that we bought in from last CoralPack, where the dampening mechanism has been assembled by that machine. And that gives impressive results at customer. For that, we bring one example with us today from a subcontractor, which actually has used the cutting data from the former generation and started with that. And here we can see the cutting data that was used. But then they increased the cutting data out from the new variants that we have put into the market. With that, we see an increase of 34 percent in productivity. But that is not all. We can also see that the tool life increased from one part to three parts with no vibration and also great ship formation. And from our side, this is a really great success. A great success for sure. But I've also heard that there have been some challenges. Yes, Isabella, you're right. As we have had side coolant on the Silent Tools former generation, and now we have through coolant on those ones. We need to have cutting heads that really corresponds to that one as well. So for that, machine integration and turning department have worked closely together to be able to achieve that. But I will let Daniel tell you more about that. Thank you. Thank you. I'm glad for the opportunity to present in this CoroPack a selection of 36 new CoroTurn SL heads, sizes 16 and 20. With side-oriented internal true coolant, this latest launch will seamlessly integrate with the new Silent Tools generation. These new heads will bring the internal coolant with a side exit while keeping the traditional S-shaped curve. And we kept the coolant side slot that will make it possible to be assembled in the previous Silent Tools generation. I'd like to remember that we already have available the CoroTurn SL heads, size 25, with high precision coolant, which will also precisely fit the new Silent Tools with the same size. Combined, this product will help our customers enhance the quality of the components, increase machining process stability, eliminate scraps, and unnecessary rework. Furthermore, downtime will be reduced due to a better chip control, which is one of the main issues when boring long overhangs in small diameters. So, if our customers need a vibration-free workpiece and top-quality results, maintaining the tight tolerance required, CoroTurn SL heads combined with Silent Tools will precisely deliver that.
