Welcome back dear channel partners.We are in the drilling section of this webinar and in this Coropac we are not launching one but two exciting new drilling offers. Annika Langean, our Vice President of Offer Management and R&D has joined me in the studio to talk about the strategic positioning of the new drills. Welcome. Thank you so much. So before we dig in, let's have a look at a teaser together. um I am so excited to have the opportunity now to launch Corridrill D10 to the market. We will have fantastic opportunities gaining new market shares with this solution, I'm sure. And I think we can say that we have the best in-class exchangeable tip drill on the market. Absolutely. So what makes the D10 so special? There is so much to say about this product and the team will do a great job today, I'm sure, with talking about all of its great benefits. And if I could just name a few, I think we have one geometry now for all materials, no pilot drill needed, meaning we can reduce inventory for our customers. And that's much appreciated. Offers an excellent centering. And that leads, of course, to straighter holds and tighter tolerances. That's a great benefit in this area. And then, it truly delivers superior tool life in all materials compared to our key competitors. So it's truly performing in that sense. But there is a lot of more benefits to talk about when it comes to this product. So stay tuned. So a drill with superior characteristics. And which kind of customers are we targeting with this drill? Customers with high volume hole making across all industry segments, I would say, but also customers with mixed production looking for low cost per hole. So it's a quite wide customer base in that sense. So I think it's safe to say that the DE10 is a real game changer. But like I said, it's not the only game changing drill that we are introducing in this CoroPack. We are also introducing the CoroDrill Dura 462. And for that, David has joined us online to speak about it in more detail. Hi, Isabella. Hi, Annika. And a warm hello to all our distribution partners joining our broadcast today. I'm excited to briefly join you and talk about CoroDrill Dura 462, which is our next generation versatile solution for hole making in multiple material applications. David, why are we introducing the CoroDrill Dura 462? The CoroDrill Dura 462 is our next generation solution for short hole drilling with a brand new grade X2BM built with a fantastic Sativo 2.0 PVD coating. This guarantees high process security and superior tool life, providing our customers with a substantial cost per hole reduction, ensuring a high return on your investment for your customers. And what makes the drill so distributor friendly? The CoroDrill Dura 462 has a wide and versatile assortment. It covers our diverse needs for our customers. We're starting at 0.03 millimetres, all the way up to 20 millimetres in three times, five times, and eight times D with and without internal coolant. We're starting with metric, imperial, fractional, number and letter sizes. And in this offer, including our micro drills, we have a full stock assortment. We're ensuring quick availability. And to further complement this product, we have a strong reconditioning offer to further reduce the cost per hole for our customers and improving the sustainability. The cost per hole is competitive, making it easy for you to provide value to your customers. We've developed a comprehensive distributor catalogue to support your sales efforts. And everything about this product is geared towards helping you succeed and grow your business. The CoroDrill Dura 462 complements our versatile assortment, building on our successful launch of the CoroMill Dura a few years ago. We also have our CoroTap in our versatile assortment. So together, this enhances and strengthens our versatile assortment to our customers. I'm really excited for this launch of the CoroDrill Dura 462. Thank you so much for having me. And we will dig right in. And we have a guest in the studio, Michael Carlson, who's going to speak about the CoroDrill DE10. Hi. Hello, Isabella. Thank you very much. Yes, I'm here today to present the new CoroDrill DE10, the next generation exchangeable tip drill. And with this release, we are offering something really unique. We are talking productivity and sustainability, excellent hold quality, no pilot drill, excellent tool life, robustness, and plug and play. using the metal key to unmount the drill tip. Very easy to apply and having this new versatile tip geometry M5. And of course, when we go to market, we want to drill a lot of holes. We are aiming to find the holes to be drilled. And this new CoroDrill DE10, what we also are introducing is a familiar design. We are talking about the pretension interface, but of course, our concept is the best. And we are talking a lot of drill tip changes per drill body. We are talking trouble-free drilling, fast and easy tip changes, very good strength in the connection, and also good centering leading to better hold quality. And I will show you a new animation where you see how to mount the drill or the drill tip. So the metal key can be equipped with a plastic cover for increased security. And this transparent cover makes it very easy to use for the operator in the machine. Talking about drilling, what we also go to market with is trouble-free machining. We are talking optimized drill tip geometry, strong body design, and the pretension interface with excellent security. Plug and play with the drill tip geometry M5. We are talking uncompromised performance. We are also talking easy to apply. And we are able to drill all workpiece materials with the new M5 geometry. We also have recommended cutting datas and a large cutting data window. Then, another very good thing with this new concept is that we can use high feeds in the applications. And when applying high feeds also means reduced cost per hole. and taking benefit from the high productivity is also a large contributor to reduced CO2 emissions. So, increasing feed by 40% reduce CO2 emissions with approximately 20%. Applications. Well, we are talking high volume drilling or drilling in general because we aim to drill holes. And we are targeting H9 and H10 tolerance on the holes. We are targeting all type of applications basically. We can offer a solution that can drill advanced applications as well. So, Michael, what can you tell our partners about the assortment? Well, I can share what we will introduce and I will do. So, we are talking drill bodies between 3, 5 and 8 times D. We are talking the M5 geometry with the optimized grade 43-34 and 23-34. And these two together can then drill successful in all workpiece materials. Important note on this slide is also that diameter 9-12.9 will be introduced as a monthly introduction after this CorePAC 25.1. Fantastic. You mentioned plug and play. That sounds like easy application to me. Yeah, that's also what we go to market with. I mean, we have developed a new concept that will be easy to use. And we actually, we make no difference in applying 3 to 8 times D in drilling lengths. So, cutting data recommendations will be the same for all drill lengths. The other thing, and that's also a clear advantage, is that we don't need any pilot drill. So, to drill the long drills, we don't need any pilot drilling. And then, of course, we need to support customers and end users how to apply the drill regarding the cutting data. And we have different options here. We are talking start values to be found on web. We are talking start values to be found on the drill tip box. We are also talking start values to be found in the drill body box with the instruction or information leaflet. Then, you can find the optimized tool guide recommendations on CoroPlus tool guide as well as using the tool item ID. via the data matrix code, you will access product information as well as cutting data recommendations. We have, of course, tested the tool. what can you share with our partners regarding results? Yes, I will share some. Of course, we have tested. We have been developing and testing this drill for a couple of years now. I will share a couple of cases here. This case is in stainless and we are talking about increased productivity by 57% and increased tool life with 43%. These two together contribute a lot to reduced CO2 emission. 36% reduction of CO2 emission in this case. The next case is a LACE application where we again benefit from the high productivity and very good tool life and again contributes to the reduced CO2 emission. So, in this case, down with 34%. At Sandvik and Romant, we always aim to choose the sustainable path. How do we do that with the corridor DE10? Yes, I will show you some information regarding that. We are talking about a new concept offering a high productivity leading to minimized energy consumption and that in long term also reduced CO2 emission. Then, the concept as such offering longer tool life and around the tool for the user also increased safety at the workplace. I will explain a little bit more about the longer tool life. We are talking about the new pretension interface reaching more drill tip changes per drill body than competition and we are also talking about excellent tool life on the M5 geometry. Regarding the workplace safety I would highlight this plastic cover. That's what contributes to the productive sustainability. Fantastic. So what are again the unique selling points that we have for the corridor DE10 summarized for our partners? Yeah, I will take through some of them here. We have prepared this slide. We are talking about offering the lowest cost per hole on the market. We are talking about most drill tip changes per drill body. Connecting again to sustainability and safety. We are talking about the plastic cover. We are talking about the reduced CO2 emissions. Coming to the actual geometry will give excellent hole quality. And then maybe one of the ones I like the most when it comes to using the drill. We are talking plug and play. It's easy to use the drill in all applications and we are talking one geometry for all workpiece materials. Thank Michael. So we have the best exchangeable tip drill in the market. Yes I would definitely say so. Wonderful. So what kind of sales support material do we have for our partners? Yeah we have prepared some sales support material. Today I'm pleased to present the new Corridor Dura 462 solid carbide drill with the like David mentioned in the beginning the new Corridor Dura 462 with grade X2 BM is our next generation versatile solution for short hole drilling in multi materials with a lower price increased tool life direct custom and distributor focused assortment and a stock availability that covers metric and imperial sizes we have high growth potential the geometry and new PVD coating give us the new grade X2 BM this has been specifically developed for use in multi material applications to provide the highest value performance high process security and superior tool life along with an enhanced assortment and global available reconditioning so what is Dura in our range of solid round tools Dura stands for versatility that means true flexibility ensuring efficient multi material machining in a broad range of environments so when we're looking for an easy to use tool that excels across many materials and applications choose Dura strong different things and specialists and co-ordinary and focused on direct customers and distribution channels with high growth potential. And to support this, we offer a wide drill assortment. The Corridor Dura 462 is the first choice for versatile multi-material drilling. With high process security and superior tool life, the new tool is the perfect choice to improve cost efficiency. With a versatile geometry and utilising a new Zertivo 2.0 multi-layered PVD coating designed for multi-materials along with tailored post-treatment to enhance surface smoothness, all of which improve performance for multi-material applications. The substrate uses a fine-grained cemented carbide with controlled microstructure to ensure the very best performance across a broad range of applications. With a geometry designed to gain machine stability and process security, productivity is also increased thanks to the new grade. Fully coated 3, 5 and 8xD tools provide enhanced wear resistance. The tool design allows for good centering and hole straightness, securing the best possible pre-holes for subsequent tasks like tapping or reaming. All of this, alongside improved tool life, helps to reduce the cost per hole compared with the Corridor 460 and also our competitors. The full assortment has two parts. Firstly, looking at drills between 3 and 20mm with lengths up to 8xD. The applications for these are varied and cross many industry segments such as automotive, general engineering and oil and gas. With a standard diameter range between 3 and 20mm for single diameter tools and 3 to 18mm for 3xD drill and chamfer tools, a broad range of applications can be covered. Looking at a few typical components, these can range from flanges, castings, sieves and valve bodies to name only a few. To support custom applications, we also have tailor-made options available. This enhances the standard offering and allows extensive opportunities to support customer-specific requirements. Now looking at the assortment between 30 microns and 3mm with lengths up to 6xD, there are options for coated and uncoated tools. And as with the larger tools, these are designed to be used across a wide range of industry segments and applications. With an extensive range of 1,365 single diameter tools covering 273 different diameters between 3 and 20mm, offering both internal and external coolant options, along with 117 drill chamfer tools sized to meet metric and imperial cutting and forming tap requirements, we have a comprehensive range of tools to support customer needs. When combined with the 579 microdrills, the Corridor Dura 462 assortment offers 2,061 drill options. With a focus on new business development through direct and distribution channels, conversion from 460XM to Corridor Dura 462, and the active engagement of customers buying versatile tooling from other sources, we have the recipe for success. The Corridor Dura 462 is the first choice for versatile multi-material short hole drilling. With the benefit of the new grade, much improved cost per hole, and large stocked assortment, we have the tools for attack. All of this leads to Corridor Dura 462 sales growth through direct and distribution customers and to become the first choice for versatile multi-material drilling. With an attractive assortment that's been enhanced with larger number of stock tools, marketplace price position, and a catalogue for distributors, we can support all of our customers and provide them with cost-effective tooling using the latest PVD coatings to support their production. Looking at the market position, the Corridor Dura 462 is our first choice tool for versatile short hole multi-material drilling across many industries. The new Corridor Dura 462 with grade X2BM replaces the old Corridor 460XM with grade GC34, and with a wider assortment, now covers important gaps to meet distribution and direct customers' needs. The existing 460XM tools with grade GC34 commenced their phase-out in September 2024. As of the 20th of January 2025, they all moved to LCS30, and from the 1st of July 2025, all Corridor 460s moved to Lifecycle 40. This allows for the consumption of existing inventory, but any remaining stocks will not be replenished after these days. We also have some supporting materials available. These include product family pages on the web, customer presentations, assortment brochures, technical and promotional films, solid round tools training, and technical articles. And a final closing message. Versatile multi-material drilling is a key part of our drilling offer, and these tools are used across many industries and applications beyond those mentioned in this presentation, and that the full value of our products is more easily achieved when combined with our supporting offers and services.
