Let's see how quick it is to generate a thread turning program, together with tool and cutting data recommendations.
Select the thread turning tooling area.
Give the project a name so it's easier to find in the future.
You can add items if you know what you will use,
or leave it empty if you want a full recommendation.
Open CoroPlus® Tool Guide to get recommendations for tool, cutting data and method.
Define your material and machine to tailor your recommendations further.
Now define the thread.
Enable Oscillating Thread Turning for better chip control in your operation.
The most efficient tool is the primary recommendation.
Another tool can be selected in the right hand panel.
You can also go to Strategy and
adjust the infeed method or the number of passes.
Continue in CoroPlus® Tool Path to verify the inputs.
The NC code is now ready.
Further adjustments are possible if needed.
Click Simulate to get a model of the chosen tool,
and run the simulation to verify that there are no collisions.
You can follow the process via the NC code,
and go back to a certain position for a closer look.
Once you're happy, you can download the NC code,
or copy it to your clipboard.
