Now with me in the studio I have Staffan, welcome. Thank you Bella, nice to be here. Nice to have you and it's time to talk about the Cormel Plura Barrel Conical and as I understand this is the final or one of the final launches in a series of tools for profiling with solid carbide end mills, right? Yes, correct. A long product name and the last one in the series of products targeting mainly profiling in heat-resistant superalloys and titanium in the fast-growing aerospace and defense sectors. So first out a few car packs ago we launched Plura Bonos which is the most versatile tool in this series for profiling but it can also be widely used in let's say general engineering segments and all profiling applications. And after that we have launched for example the Plura Barrel which is a tool where you can compare to a normal Bonos drastically increase or really make incremental increases in productivity and keeping the surface quality. And that combined with for example the conical ball nose that gives you access to hard to access features like the root radius of a blade in a jet engine. And now in the latest release we launched what we call a conical barrel tool which combines the barrel principle of really high productivity with maintained surface quality and like a two-tool in one so the ball nose front you can also make the finishing of the root radius on the blade or two sides of the components. Great. Thank you for walking us through this overview and I think you already touched upon it partly but what makes this latest release stand out? Yeah the two things I would say first of all that we have unique grade and geometries developed for titanium and unique grades and geometries for HRSA. This optimization really gives the tool life and productivity to be super competitive. And that combined with our possibilities to make tailor-made of the tools and design the tool you need after the component is also crucial for this type of components. And I think that we have one of our colleagues in the UK ready to show us a demonstration, right? Exactly. Those kind of tools also require a lot of skills and expertise. So Daniel will show us how to program and how to use a conical barrel tool on the machine. Fantastic. And Daniel is based in England so over to the UK. Thanks Stefan. So hi everyone. My name is Daniel from Sandvik Coram Academy and I wanted to just take you through some quick tips on these new double radius barrel tools. So when we apply these tools in a cam system, such as Mastercam in this case, we need to specify that we're using the correct portion of the tool. We want to use the large radius because that's going to give us the ability to have a large step down in the AP direction. So to do this, we use tool access control in Mastercam. We would set its contact point on the barrel section and we make sure that we have a large number in here. Around 50% or 40% should be fine because then we know that we're going to be using the large area of that radius. So that when we apply this to the tool path and we run it on the machine, you can see we have a much larger step down, which means that we are creating the same surface finish as a ball nose, but we're doing it in a lot quicker time. Which is far more productive and can save a customer a substantial amount of time and money. Thank you. I'm back to you, Bella, in the studio. Thank you so much, Daniel, for running this demonstration. Really exciting to see. And now back to you, Stefan. What's one final message that you would like to share? Yeah, first of all, that we have a really complete and unique series of competitive tools. And with the work of doing the programming, so target customers with five axis machines and complex components in these branches where they really have the need to increase productivity. Spend the time to optimize the process and really utilize the new tooling offer. Great. Thank you so much for sharing and for joining in the studio, Stefan. Thank you.
