Welcome to the Samvik Coromant Machining Calculator Follow this short guide and get the basics of this app Click on any of the tiles and we'll go to the turning in this example You can use the calculator in two ways You can be guided through the calculations by starting from the top with cutting speed or spindle speed Input values and results will then follow to the next calculations You can also jump straight into any calculation This is for more advanced users who are familiar with the machining formulas and definitions In this example we will use the guided function for the power requirement calculation We know the cutting speed so we start by calculating the spindle speed Enter the diameter into the cutting speed and you will get the spindle speed Click on metal removal rate or swipe left Enter the feed and depth of cut and you now get the metal removal rate Click on power requirement or swipe left Change any present value on the screen if needed Then click the material database icon and pick the material you want to machine You will then get power requirements estimated for this operation Click back arrow in the upper left corner twice and this will take you back to the home screen The machining calculator is available in Apple Store and Google Play
